Farmers have generally accepted the practices of use of various biofertilisers, but due to many reasons farmers are not getting good quality biofertilisers in the village itself.

Considering this problem , KVK has started the production unit of bio-fertilisers on small scale.  The various bio-fertilisers that are produced by the KVK are composting culture, azatobactor and phosphate solubilising bacteria (PSB).

Sugarcane trash mulching practice is becoming popular among the sugarcane cultivation’s.  Therefore, the KVK has started the production of composting culture, which is very effective in decomposting of sugarcane trash in the field itself. Similarly the composting culture can also be used for composting the organic waste material for recycling in farming.The region is typically marked by the presence of calcareous deposits that causes serious problem of phosporus availiblity. .  The PSB plays an important role in solubilising the phosphorus  in these soils. KVK has also started the production of azatobactor and is planning to  start the production of   some important species of Rhizobium.  As per the demand of biofertiliser, KVK is planning to expand these production units.
