The KVK has started the nursery unit for supply of various fruit plants such as Mango , Chiku , Pomegranate , Guava , Aonla , Tamarind , Custardapple , Lime , other plants as Drumstick, Curry Leaf Plant and flowers and ornamentals as Rose , Miniature Poinsettia , Allamanda , Acalyphas , Dieffenbachias , Dracaenas , Coleus , Crotons , Golden Durantas, Geraniums , Bougenvillea , Syngoniums , Portulaca , Clematis , Poinsettia pulcherima , Ornamental Rubbers , Calliandra etc. It has uptill now has produced and sold 1.25 lakh plants to various prospective buyers and farmers . Besides this the unit has helped to serve as an important place of practical learning and imparting the skilled training for the rural youth . It has imparted skilled training for 231 rural youth through 12 long durational training programmes . This has also helped to provide an increased opportunity for generating the self-employment and developing enterpreneurship among the rural youth . Today the Nursery unit of the KVK has become an important revenue generating unit .

Drumstick : The KVK has newly introduced the Drumstick variety PKM-2 specifically for the dryland resource poor farmers that has double bearing tendency in a year. The KVK till date has increased the area under the crop to over 250 acres in the district and a total of 1500 acres area in the state covering 27 districts The KVK has also made refinements in the pruning practices required for maximising the productivity  The seedlings and the seed material is also made available for the farmers.
